Synopsis
- In this resource from Population Education, students will analyze an interactive map and timeline, showing how the global population has grown over time.
- The timeline also shows key events that happened over time in the areas of food and agriculture, health, science and technology, people and society, and the environment.

Prerequisites
- Teachers should go over how to use the interactive with students, making sure to point out key features and tools that will be the most useful for their purposes.
- Many of the overlays only have data for a certain period of time within the timeline. When users select these overlays, the timeline will only play for that data range.
- To restart the timeline, users need to pull back the playhead to the beginning.
